The Coastal Fire Centre has rescinded the Total Fire Ban as of noon on September 3, 2026. For Ships Point residents, this means campfires in appliances approved by the Fire Chief are allowed. Open burning is still prohibited.

Due to exceptionally dry conditions, SPID is under Stage 2 Water Use Restrictions, effective immediately. Limit watering/sprinkling to 3 hours between 10pm-10am. Full info chart posted at mailboxes within SPID and at spid.ca - Water Department -SPID Water Use Restrictions.
