COMPLETE FIRE BAN IN EFFECT: Effective July 12, 2024, a complete Fire Ban is in place across the Comox Valley including Ships Point. Under a complete fire ban, all wood burning fires, including campfires, are prohibited. The following equipment and activities are also prohbited:
NO:
- Fireworks;
- Sky Lanterns;
- Burn Barrels or Burn Cages of any size or description;
- Binary Exploding Targets;
- Air curtain burners;
- Tiki and similar kind of torches;
- Chimineas
CSA/ULC approved propane fire devices are still allowed.
